Ok- so have you ever chatted it up with someone here or else where online where you found yourself looking forward to your next chat. Or you have butterflies in your belly b/c they have posted another comment about you?
For me, I'm here to have some fun. I love chatting w/ people. I'm naturaly curious about other lifestyles, parts of the world, personalities, etc. I find that I learn more about my self through other people.
Yes, I too have met a few people that have sparked my interest. I too have looked forward to an IM popping up on the screen or an unexpected gift, comment in my inbox. But lets face it, we are so scattered around the world is there really a shot in hell that any of this is anything more then an ego boost?
For others, I think they believe they will be able to find thier one true love, thier soulmate perhaps. I have had some very generous invitaions to go on vacation, meet @ some exotic location, what-have-you. And of course all expences paid. The moment I appear online, there they are at my window... an IM or some other gesture is made to get my attention.
Of course I like the attention, we all do. That is why we are here, no? But are ya kidding me? Or are you really serious??
Whats your take on it?
A- here to have some ego boosting fun, like the attention, but I'm a realist...
B- this is the 21st century and heck- why can't I find my soulmate, my cherry-on-top here and jump on that plane and throw caution to the wind. |
