BRATTLEBORO, Vt. -- On Tuesday voters across Vermont will head to the polls for the state's presidential primary, in addition to traditional town meeting day voting.
In Brattleboro there is a controversial topic on the agenda: whether to indict the president and vice president for war crimes.
Kurt Daims authored an article that asked Brattleboro residents if the wanted the town attorney to draft an indictment against President George W. Bush and Vice President Cheney.
Since the news broke, the town has been bombarded with hate mail and questions from critics.
"It's spreading because people are very scared and angry about Mr. Bush wrecking the country," said Daims.
Brattleboro residents said they feel very strongly about the issue.
"It's great that someone's willing to get up there and say, 'Hey you lied to us, that's not OK. It's illegal and if you come to this town, we'll arrest you,'" said Brattleboro resident Tanya Tabachnikoff.
"It's not something I'm really happy to have Brattleboro famous for," said fellow resident Milt Eaton.
Eaton suggested that Brattleboro has better causes to put its energy toward.
"Our roads today look like bomb holes! That's what the town should be focusing on, not trying to impeach the president for defending us," said Eaton.
