Hard Worker by Day, Harder Lover by NightI've been to the German Black Forest and my mouth dropped open in amazement. I've sweated in the rain of Panama. Inhaled the intoxicating smells of great food being prepared in Hungary. I've flown from California to New York, and drove from Missouri to Texas—but for all the paths I've traveled, I've yet to meet you.Maybe you were going to show up in Croatia, when I was drinking a strong expresso? I looked for you in Colorado, while I sat in a train station, dunking a doughnut into chocolate so thick it reminded me of a cup of bittersweet pudding. Bittersweet not just in taste, but in actual fact … because you weren't there to share it with me.Take one hefty scoop of Country, blend with the sugar of what my friends call a sweet romantic, shake vigorously for one hour ... and you've got me. Not only do I love Country as well as country-western, bluegrass, rock, and the oldies, I'm crazy about the woman that I am with.Other things I get a "kick" out of: Attending Fairs, Rodeo's, Racing, Garage Sales, and anything artsy. I love learning about new cultures, history and given my love of woodworking, checking out new landscaping, woodworking shows and magazines. As far as keeping active, I enjoy walking downtown, along the beach, and reading in the park.I don't take the little things for granted, from snuggling under a blanket in front of a great movie, receiving little love notes hidden around the house to those special moments that just stop you and make you appreciate that special someone. I enjoy sharing belly laughs and some mean Italian, Mexican food or down home cooking.I see us walking together, going to local antique shops, window shopping, and discovering out-of-the-way mom and pop cafes. We'll probably be the last couple to leave, since we're deep into a conversation not about people, but about ideas and philosophies, and dreams. I'm loyal and sincere, and promise to treat you with courtesy and respect. If respect comes first, then true intimacy naturally follows. But consider yourself warned: I'm old-fashioned and will want to open doors for you!
