Hurricane Ike...
We started out leaving that AM about 9:30, thought of a friend we knew would be stranded.We went to pick her up,she wanted to STAY!!! Crazy Lady!!! We convinced her to go,dropped her off in Huntsville.
As part of her thank you she allowed us to use her Tom Tom GPS.About 10 miles outside of Huntsville,Tx the Tom Tom tells us to turn right,there was no right to turn on.It continues to tell us to turn right.
Finally, a few miles up the highway we make a right, it says to get back on the motorway.
I look at my Honey,"This is too weird,what gives?"
We head for the exit.He asked,"I wonder why this crazy thing wanted us to exit then only enter the highway again?"
Suddenly, we see a van off in the ditch,there was a Lady bent over the steering wheel, covered in perspiration,elderly and alone.
THAT was the Tom Tom's reason !!! God knew she needed our help.
We found out she was diabetic,no phone,no water,no air conditioning.She had passed out and ran off the road and was there for hours before we came along.
We called the Auto Club and her family.Her family arrived first coming from over a 3 1/2 drive.Which was how long we stayed with her.
Needless to say we didn't arrive in Central Texas until 11:30 that night.
The neat thing was she had an angel hanging from her rear view mirror that said "Guardian Angels Watch Over Me"
My Honey has an address he uses that's called "Guardian Angels" and whenever I find white Feathers I say "My Guardian Angel has been here,what do you need me to do Lord"
God always has a way of stepping into our lives when we least expect it.We are so thankful she needed our help and we are always grateful for those that come into our lives.
God Truly is my Driver Ride with Him Sometime!!!
