Today was a good day. I started off this morning a little tired and unwilling to go to work. I went to the MK class at the Nursing home and facialed 3 women. It was a lot of fun. I got quite a bit of one on one time with the ladies. I found out that 2 of them were 90. One had just turned 90 in March and the other was going to be 91 on August 7. The one that has the Birthday on August 7 had 7 brothers and sisters. she was the 2nd to last one born. There is only one of her other siblings alive. And she is the mother of 7 herself. It was neat just sittin' there talking with here and putting make - up on her face. After it was all done she gave me a hug which was really sweet and put a smile on my face. :). She was walking around the nursing home the rest of the morning showing off her face she was so proud! I walked into the therapy (physical therapy) room where she was showing off her face to one of the ladies (probably her daughter - because she did tell me that she had a daughter that worked there) and told her "This is the lady who made my face look so pretty. " So I smiled at both of them again. It was really sweet.
The afternoon I made a delivery to another customer and she told me to make sure I cashed the check quickly because she wanted it to show up on her next statement. I told her no problem I'll cash it tomorrow. She said good and again told me how this is so convenient for her ( she works with my husband's company) and how much she appreciates that I do this for her. Again many smiles cross my face.
Then I went to workout and visited with the trainer and a couple of the other ladies there. It was an okay workout. Time to pick up the kids from the babysitter and go home.
I picked up the kids and told them I was going to try and get the lawnmower started and and mow the lawn and the two kids + the dog were going to be outside while I did that. I got the lawnmower started on the first try but it didn't run very well so I tried the trick my husband showed me and got it running really well on the second try. The three of them, the kids and the dog, played together while I mowed the lawn. I got one half of the yard done, startd on the 2nd half and ran out of gas. ;). Filled it up with gas and the husband comes home. Take a little break, get the lawnmower started again - it started right up this time :) . Ran another couple rows and then went to pick up dinner. We had dinner and I went back out to finish up the lawn. The next thing I know my husband and kids and dog are all outside playing for a few minues while I'm mowing the lawn. Like I said it has been a good day. Get most of the lawn mowed and then uh - oh I get the lawn mower stuck in the mud. In the meantimes the kids had come back outside to play and they tried to help me get the lawnmower unstuck - no luck. So my daughter goes in to tell my husband I'm stuck in the mud. He comes out and with a little help from me gets it unstuck. We all cheer. By the way, he brought the dog back out when he came to get the mower unstuck. We get it unstuck and then the 5 of us, yes I sad the 5 of us all play a little soccer outside together for about 20 or 30 minutes. Like I said Today has been a good day.
I've had a busy day and I'm worn out so the dog and I come inside. About 10 or 15 minutes later hubby and kids come in. The kids are filthy from playing out in the fresh mown grass and they get baths.
Now is my time to relax a little and here I am telling you all about what a good day I had. I feel content.
