To my Christain family and friends.
A little note to you, some may have known this and others don't. I was in awe when I heard it. (this is kind of lengthy)
Some knew that God gave Abraham and Sara a child when he was 100 years old and she was 99 years old, a son named Isaac. Now when Isaac was young, God told Abraham to take Issac to a mountain and offer him as a burnt offering (sacrifice). Abraham loved his son but Loved and trusted God and left for a mountain that
God told him to go to without hesitation. That mountain is Mount Moriah (you will find out later WHY GOD sent him to that mountain) When he got there and as he was preparing to "offer" his son, an Angel stopped him just in time and GOD was thankful to see that Abraham was willing to do what he asked.
Now in a side note, the FIRST time the word LOVE shows up in the Bible in the Old Testiment is Genesis 22:2 ...(When God is talking with Abraham) .."your only Son Isaac, whom you love.." and the first time LOVE shows up in the New Testiment is....(of course) John 3:16... "for God so LOVED the world, that he game IS ONLY begotten Son..." ... See how those to come together? God gave Abraham a son and God gave us HIS only son!
Now for a "WOW" moment.
Did you know the name of the hill that Jesus was sacrificed on was Golgotha? And Galgotha is at the summit of Mount Moriah, the same place that GOD sent Abraham to sacrifice HIS son is very close to the same place that GOD'S son was sacrificed.
In both the Old and the New Testament, God is called the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, because with them God’s relationship of promise and purpose was fixed for all those who descended from them.
Just some amazing facts you can find in the Bible. I will always LOVE and cherish my GOD and his SON Jesus Christ
