THE SKY AND YOU
As I look up into the heavens and see the stars,
I wonder to myself just where you are.
And I ponder on the place that I would like to be,
Anywhere when you right beside me.
As I look into the sky,
I ask myself the question why.
That someone like you loves someone like me,
The only answer that I come up with is how I feel about you and hope that you can see,
That what you really mean to me.
When I look up to the sky at night,
I want to hold you with all my might.
From all the pain and fear,
And to pray that our end is never near.
The love we share is so very dear.
When I see the sun rise,
It brings tear to my eyes.
For a new day begins,
And gives our love another chance that will not end.
When the sun goes down,
Hopefully that our love has won that extra round.
Then day turns into night.
All I have is you in the end I’ll win that fight.
