The river, Eye is a beautifull river, running through most of Leicestershire In th 1800's, It was a working cannal, shipping things like, coal, corn, &, flour. There is A mill house,, & a pump house, down the bottom of my street. that's where they ground the flour, & genarated the electricity, for the 2000 houses in Asfordby. Over the year's they stopped using it. as technology got better over the years, the cannal boats, became none egsistant. they have taken all the lock's out, In 1981. and over the years it has gone back to it's original state. But English Heretage Want to turn it back the way it used to be. it flows through Asfordby, Frisby on the wreak, And down to Leicester where it turns in to the river Soure.
