Good Morning and hello there and how-d-do, Holey smokes that is a lot to say in one sentence. So it is Tuesday in America today. Well actually it’s Tuesday in a lot of places not just here. But, with it comes news of the strange kind. I have often thought that thrill seekers normally went to amusement parks for thrills, scares, screams…not so in Sacramento, California. Oh no! There is a family fun park that is said to have a super thrill ride. Ok the mention of this means tons of screams right? Not so. Because if one was to scream on this ride they would be subject to ejection from the park…Stay with me here I am not chipping my tooth on the top of my desk. Why on earth that flung into my head, lord only knows. Here is the classic little story KOVR-TV Unclear on the Concept The Scandia Family Fun Center, which operates a super thrill ride (168 feet high, spinning at 60 miles an hour, pulling 3.5 g's) called the Screamer, (hmmm I am thinking a ride called the screamer is meant to make one scream, right?) in Sacramento, Calif., decided in March that because of neighborhood residents' noise complaints, riders would be prohibited from screaming (and subject to ejection from the park). [KOVR-TV (Sacramento), 3-31-07] So here is the deal. You pay you 40.00 or what ever have you the cost of admission and the first ride you come to is the Screamer, and as you are standing in line you read the signs along the way. “Screaming may subject you to Park Ejection and loss of admission fee” hmmm, ride is called screamer, if I scream I get ejected. Ok let’s ride!
What a country we live in today. Oh here is another one. This is too cute and I will fly through it as fast as possible. Caracas, Venezuela yesterday launched it’s new crime fighting or deterrent to crime fighting Zeppelin. The Zeppelin is an un-manned flying device which is able to hover over many areas that police, government officials can’t reach or are said to not wish to go to for fear of, well death. The device flies nightly in crime areas keeping an eye in the sky so to speak on Venezuela’s Crime. When asked if the $465,000.00 flying device could be taken out so to speak, officials laughed it off. Saying the running joke in Caracas that hardened criminals will simply shoot down any Zeppelin keeping an eye on them, Morales Rossi said the craft was compartmentalized to account for the loss of gas owing to a puncture. "And it is out of range," he added.
I think I will not soon fly over Venezuela…. Ok that is all I have for today. May your Tuesday be a, screamer, not in Sacramento mind you and if you have to take a flight make sure you are out of Range of Venezuelan gun fire….
