A random poem called Living Legend that I wrote.

Have you ever wondered where legends live
At the end of a rainbow where no mortal can go
Or perhaps in places not even light is allowed
My moment in the spotlight never came
But I did my job so that mankind could never fall victim
To the hardships that other worlds still stuffer
Don't think of me as the shy little lifeform who ran away
Threaten me and I'll make sure you retire sooner than normal
I travel the realms of space to do what I was meant to do.

The best way to describe me without making things confusing
I am the big bang theory for the religious believers
A supernova for the members of society who are blind
My knowledge never ends with the worlds I've visited
Some think I was God's favorite warrior let go on free will
Or just some nutcase who thinks he is something incredible
But one thing is certain about what I do for the universe
I come and I go and there is nothing anyone can do about it.

When evil strikes and begins to farm the living into extinction
I'll come to your aid with holy judgment ready to smite the dark
Once everything is clear and cured
You won't see my face no more
I'll disappear from where I came and return to my home
Out there somewhere you'll never know
Rivals that try to best me will eat my dust
But before I leave and go my way
I loved you all and sadly I wished I could stay
But there is nothing left for you to feel
Just do me one favor as I continue my passion
Remember me what I did for you once I'm gone
I'll return one day to keep the darkness away.

For I am a legend born and forever living
I'll never retire or run from anything demonic
The forces of evil better watch out
Because I'll be coming out of nowhere
And once my face can be viewed
That'll be the last sight you'll be allowed to see.
