| First of all I am a disabled Veteran. I need honest opinions please. For many years the VA has offered benefits for the spouse of a veteran. In recent years that has changed to no benefits unless the veteran is 100% disabled. I feel that spouses of a disabled vet from a rating of 10 % up should have the same benefits as there spouse as they have had to handle more since there loved one was deployed or injured. All veterans have access to medical through the VA as there right they earned. Well I think that the spouses of these brave men and woman should at least be able to get benefits for a small fee to help offset the cost. A family of 5 cannot qualify for medicaid help if the total income is close to $800.00 except for the children. Please let me know what you think so I know if this is a fight worth fighting for.
