so i'll just recap the convo i had with my sister and then give my thoughts.
5:20p...phone rings, i look at the display and see "becky daily"...*wow! she finally got that stick out of her ass!* i think to myself.
"i've got 10 minutes til i have to clock in" ~Me
"oh....*silence*....how are you?" ~Becky
"Ok, stressed" ~Me
"Yeah i know what you mean" ~Becky
"We couldn't even make rent last week, 15 hours just doesn't cut it" ~Me
"yeah the last five weeks i haven't had any hours then this week i got four and i had to give them up cause i was suppose to take mom to the doctor's today and then she didn't even feel up to going" ~Becky
"yeah well...*silence*...i'm thinking of writing a comic strip about the stupid shit at arby's....wait then they'd fire me and sue me for disgrading their name" ~Me
"yeah i'm sure they would *laugh*" ~Becky
*silence on both ends* (if anyone realizes me and becky have been at "different views" the last few months so it was odd just to get a random call from her...)
"So do you want me to tell you now or later when you don't have to work?" ~Becky
*Silence*...."what are you marrying jimmy?" ~Me
"yeah" ~Becky
*silences again*
"So when did this happen?" ~Me
"Well we went and picked out my engagement ring on monday" ~Becky
"Ok" ~Me
*Silence again*
*silence, trying to think of what i'm suppose to be saying here* "It's amazing, i've been in my relationship the longest, here you two are pretty much both married and i can't even get a engagement" ~Me
"I want you to be there" ~Becky
*silence* "well of course you're my sister* ~Me
"well i'm gonna go ahead and send nikkie an invite but there better not be any shit. i'm adding a P.S. on her's telling her if she can't be nice to not bother coming" ~Becky
"What do you mean?" ~Me
"when she was up here she was all nice and everything then when she got home she told you all that stuff and it was bull shit" ~Becky
"well you know how she is" ~Me
"so do i get to meet jimmy before the wedding or will i be walking into the wedding yelling "so where's this brother-in-law i haven't gotten to meet yet"?" ~Me
"i don't know" ~Becky
then i mentioned how last i knew she wanted me to meet him then we were suppose to do the birthday stuff here and that she was waiting on the check, that i wondered about how she wanted me to meet jimmy and that i got the impression from the email that he didn't want me there.
....she didn't really say anything. somewhere in all that she mentioned having to plan a wedding...which i took to mean that apprently she can cancle plans she's had for almost a year because she's marrying this guy....
since no one here has any idea of the situation and such to understand why i'm not ok with this:
A) she's 19
B) she has NO dating exprience (yes this is her first relationship
C) he's 30
D) has a 8 year old son
E) she's still in college
F) he has gential herpes...while i know this isn't a big deal the risks are there, she can't have a kid without getting it and even still the risks for the kid it's self is there. (yes i've looked it up and done my homework)
G) she hasn't even bothered to research the herpes thing, just believes his telling the truth about having a normal life and such..
H) she's known him a year
I) she's become this "stick up her ass" kinda person since meeting him
anywayz i guess i'm just confused and disappointed. i figured she would have been smarter about it...done some research first or something.
