Lexington based JockeyBox was formed by guitarist, David Young and bassist Anthony Gilvin. Both members of many local club bands. Even though from the bluegrass state their music is far from a southern sound. In 2005 they added vocalist Russell Johnson to the mix. Russell was a former singer in several cover and original bands from the Washington, D.C. area. Finally added to the mix in September 2006 was drummer Anthony Key. A drummer since the age of 4 with a strong background in blues and funk and recently a long time memeber of The Sensations, but he can rock with the best! We are thrilled to have him fill out the line-up. The group is currently recording several long standing JockeyBox songs and many new tracks and plan on playing out.
