I'm a songwriter and a multi-insrumentalist who sets no limitations on musical composition.I grew up in the Pacific Northwest and began playing drums at the age of eleven. my family fully supported me in my noisy interests. My father even gave up a large portion of his prized workshop to accommodate my ever-expanding collection of musical gear. While many families may have feared the wrath of their neighbors, he encouraged the noise in the workshop despite the fact that the police were called out continuously by the uptight asshole out back. Laughing my way through jam bands, garage bands, cover bands and original material bands with genres including, punk, glam, jazz, fusion and over-indulgent guitar music, I found that what I really loved was good ol' feel-good rock & roll. It was then that I realized that music wasn't really about how well you could play or how fast you could move your fingers across a fretboard, it was about how good it felt to play it and to listen to it. I'm a music addict born and raised in the City of Angels.....but I don't fit the stereotype of an LA woman....except maybe for how I party.....I like staying out until the sun comes up.....I don't do your fancy schmancy clubs....I don't like paying $20+ to listen to cheesed out dance tunes or horrible remixes.....the mainstream sucks....all across the board.....with very few exceptions....i LOVE the underground......be it techno...rock/indie....hip hop (thank you John for edumacating me in this department)...etc......I love dive bars with little jazz bands playing in the background.....or a juke box blaring out tunes to sing along to (no karaoke)....I'm not impressed by fancy lighting...over priced drinks....or pretty decorations......give me a dark warehouse....a killer sound system.....and enough room to dance the night away and I'm in heaven....I'll take a band that has great energy live over a band that has to use special lighting...pyro technics and other distractions to make thei

I am here to babble, meet interesting people, and have fun in my free time. With that said I am a 31 year old bass player from Lancaster, California. I work on computers and do what I can to make me feel like I'm not a waste of space while I'm here. So far i am not blowing that goal completely and seem to be doing better as the days go by but it isn't me that decides in the end I guess. I have hopes and dreams like the rest of the human race and am sure I will reach the most important of those. At the moment the things that keep my attention the best are playing music, reading books(I stick to sci-fi/fantasy and horror/suspense), and friends.
