Gays were subdude and their preferences were kept behind closed doors. People felt safe walking the streets at night, and werent forced to have twenty four hour surveilance on their children. A gallon of Gasoline, hightest was $.28, and a loaf of bread about the same. Even a hamburger at Howdys or McDonalds was $.15, $.18 for a cheeseburger. I survived Vietnam, and a total of twelve years of service to my country in the Navy. and PROUD of every minute of those years. My life has been spent mostly working with my hands repairing things. Plumbing, carpentry, basic electrical. Yet my career path has now turned to retail as a sales specialist for Lowes. As far as romance goes, To quote a song " Loves been a little bit hard on me".
