Bah. I, for one, struggle with this time of year. So many losses in the past, and always more to come it seems. This year is slightly different though. I have a great new addition to my life. He's wonderful on every level. He reminds me that there are some good things to look forward to, and it's a little easier not to focus on the past losses. They haunt me, as I'm sure they haunt many of you. Just think of it this way, it could always be worse.. and it could always be better. Which would you choose? :)
Let's not sit around and cry in our beer (or drink of choice) and, instead, make the best of what we have. Smile. Live. Do what so many others don't get to do, and enjoy your families. This is just as much a reminder to myself as any of you. Some day I hope not to need it, but for now... :) ...
