R.I.P Juan Loiuse Guido article of his death
Driver killed in rollover accident ZILLAH - A 21-year-old Yakima man was killed early Saturday after rolling his car on Interstate 82 about three miles west of Zillah, authorities said.
Juan Luis Guido-Ponce, who was thrown from the Chevrolet Cavalier, died at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital, acccording to a news release from the Washington State Patrol.
About 1:20 a.m., Guido-Ponce was eastbound on the interstate when his car drifted into the median and crossed the westbound lanes, troopers said. He overcorrected from the westbound shoulder, rolling the car into the median.
His passenger, 25-year-old Rebecca Vargas of Sunnyside, was treated at Memorial Hospital and released, a nursing supervisor said. She was wearing a seat belt.
Troopers said they did not know whether Guido-Ponce was intoxicated or wearing his seat belt
