Greetings ! I need some opinions to help assist me in making a very difficult decision. I was blinded in my left eye a week ago yesterday
while driving a truck in New Jersey. I have been to three doctors and
am scheduled to see yet another next Tuesday. The surgery is a complicated
one and I believe they want to send me to the Duke University eye center
next week because they cannot manage it here. As a result of this injury I cannot drive a truck and have been taken off work. My question is this:
Should I :
A- Explore the option of surgery and the extended rehabilitation involved
in doing so even though the prognosis for recovery is bleak? or....
B- forget the additional trauma involved take the disability rating and
move on to another line of work?
