I have had an idea for a series of stories floating around in my head for about 4 years now. I have gone as far as outlining the theme/characters/flow of the story. Now, I have come to find out that many of my creations are similar to a few other Novels/Movies.
My question is: Should I continue with my dream of having this novel fully written an published, disregarding the reoccurring plot line, or, should I scrap it? Obviously it is a storyline that works and is wanted by others. I just don't know if I could do it any justice, or perhaps bring something new to the genre. |
