I have a job I like as a dessert chef in a nice classy restaurant, however, I do not see room for advancement. It pays decent,close to home, and the people I work with are fun. Its a living, and it allows my son and I to enjoy life.
I was offered a job that pays 2 dollars an hour more to start, but its 1.5 hour drive to work if I accept it. The job is in a factory as a production planner. A cubicle job that is typical 9-5 work. My friend that works there tells me they have good yearly raises as long as your review is good. They also get a Christmas bonus that is 1.5 weeks pay.
I have compared the insurance and pto and they are fairly similar, but don't know if the long drive would be worth it the way the gas prices are. So...
Help me decide. Job I already have and enjoy OR unknown and better wages. |
