Alright, here's the situation. I have a cousin out of state who is in a terrible relationship. Her husband is mentally abusive if not physically (I have no personal proof of this). They have three little girls and he thinks that buying name brand clothes and new vehicles is more important than making sure there is food in the house and a safe home for his family. He is an alcoholic and seems like he couldn't care less about his family.
My cousin went to the doctor and was told that she has to get out of the stressful situation she's in or else her mental state is going to deteriorate to the point that hospitalization is going to be the only option. She is scared to leave because he has threatened to take her babies away.
I am getting ready to move to Oklahoma where she is so my question is, what should I do. Should I try a family intervention to show her that she has people who will stand by her and testify that he is an alcoholic who can't take care of the children or do I let her keep spiraling down because she made her bed.
