Lessons from an Oyster

There once was an oyster Whose story I tell, Who found that some sand Had got into her shell. It was only a grain, but it gave her great pain. For oysters have feelings Although they're so plain. Now, did she berate the harsh workings of fate That had brought her To such a deplorable state? Did she curse at the government, Cry for election, And claim that the sea should Have given her protection? 'No,' she said to herself As she lay on a shell, Since I cannot remove it, I shall try to improve it. Now the years have rolled around, As the years always do, And she came to her ultimate Destiny stew. And the small grain of sand That had bothered her so Was a beautiful pearl All richly aglow. Now the tale has a moral, for isn't it grand What an oyster can do With a morsel of sand? What couldn't we do If we'd only begin With some of the things That get under our skin.

STILL HOPE

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket To this terrain-trembling world of unsung champions and championed idiots, hindered struggler's and bungled dreams, still they come, flashing their beams of hope -- Pure-fire bringers born of the sun, democracy dreamers, children of a brighter light, the poet, the writer, slashing the thick dark night with silvery signals of hope.

Sentinel

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket What mightier than the dragon? To what could we compare? Is there one so powerful To share in this beast’s lair? With intellect, compassion Defiancy and might He’s chivalrous and powerful Full of strength and fight. He’s sleek and strong and agile Breaths fire hot as hell He’ll curl up like a baby And snooze when all is well. To some he’s good, to some he’s bad They never really know Do they trust or do they kill him? Is he friend or foe? A creature from Mythology This surely can’t be true. When you are watching out for him He’s watching over you.

My Ode to Going Skyclad!

What the use of wearing panties Whalebone corsets of your Auntie's Boxer shorts and other scanties Best of all is nude There's such fun in going bra-less Now that it's no longer lawless 'Specially if your figure's flawless Best of all is nude - )O( - Nude is what you're born in Shirts are never torn in Underwear and lacy flimsies, garter belts and other whimsies Yards of itchy cloth to put your form in Ducks all do it, maidens rue it Even ancient Picts in Britain blue it Going naked's how to do it Best of all is nude! - )O( - If your garters aren't elastic Tie them up in knots fantastic (Panty hose is something drastic!) Best of all is nude! If you're tired of wearing clotheses Shed your garment 'mongst the roses Never mind the old bluenoses Best of all is nude! - )O( - Nude is best for ducking! Worst for horses bucking! Moonlit nights will see such sights that are very best for fooling round .....and elbows! Nudity is grand to see A well-known antidote to virginity Take your clothes off and you'll see: Best of all is nude!

As One

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket As One we walk this Earth together, As one we sing to Her our song, As one we love Her, As one we heal Her, Her heart beats with our own, As One. As one we join with Her, our Mother. As one we hear Her sacred song, As one we touch Her, As one we heal Her, Her heart beats with our own, As One.

Earth Mother

Life pulses throughout Her land, Covered by rich harvest and fertile beauty - Time as deep as ocean and as infinite as sand rippling harmony and complexity; Her duty Her life and wisdom rides the breeze, As her mercy and strength evaporates. Man's creation reigns; devastation, disease From invention of the wheel; we've industrialized our fates. War and meaningless death - what extinction it creates. Her rivers of life are running dry As She watches Her children lead Her to die. She feels the gentle wind of Her own failing breath, And from Her eye a final tear does glisten. It saddens Her to know we orbit our own death. We've always known the way - her voice; if only we would listen. Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Build A Box Of Friendship

Into a box of friendship To insure that it is strong First a layer of respect On the bottom does belong. Then to the sides attach, In the corners where they meet, Several anchors full of trust, Devoid of all deceit. The height of friendship can be measured By the sides of four, So make them all a larger cut, And the box will hold much more. Now fill it up with courtesy, Honor and esteem, Understanding, sympathy, And passion for a dream. Add to that your honesty, Emotions joy and love, And since they’re so important, Place them up above But leave the box wide open So all can see inside, To learn what makes a friendship work From the box you built with pride. 3394.gif

INSIDE OF THEE

INSIDE OF THEE I kneel down before the shallow waters, to reveal my own reflection. Just a mere window of the soul, is all that my eye's can be detecting. For what all that I consume, is not all that their is. We must look beneath the visual shell, for that is where we live. Reach deep my friend and you shall find, much more than you conceive. For who are what we may become, exist inside of thee.

"PEACE OF MIND"

"PEACE OF MIND" Carry me out the ocean, where my drifting thoughts flow free. Guide them to a far distant land, that only the mind can see. There I shall paint a great portrait, of what this world should be. A place without senseless wars, and human poverty.

CHILDREN OF THE STARS

Children of the Stars If I teach my son that he is Icelandic will he then become nationalistic? If I teach my son that he is a man will he then become a macho man? If I teach my son that he is homo sapien will he then believe he is superior over nature? If I teach my son that he is part of it all, that he is everything and everything is he that god is in all there is? Will he then learn unity is beyond duality? Will his vision contain the key to the future. A remembrance that there is but one thing that can unify us and can't be denied, we all live together on mother earth?
