The blue tattoo

One day, a man, John, was shopping in Stuff-Mart looking for a curling iron for his wife Jules. As he looked around he decided to begin reading the signs above the aisles to see if he could find any clue as to where the curling irons might be located. When he looked up at one of the signs he noticed something quite strange in one of the mirrors mounted in the corner of the ceiling - a man with a large blue tattoo was placing a hairdryer inside his trench coat. Noting this as a suspicious action, the man went to Stuff-Mart Security and reported the incident. After hearing his testimony the local Police Department was phoned and asked to send out a detective. This is what took place when Detective Rodgers arrived: "Hello, Mr. ..." said Detective Rodgers. "Smith, John Smith", supplied John. "Mr. Smith," Rodgers confirmed. "My name is Detective Rodgers. Why don't you tell me exactly what you saw." "Well, Detective Rodgers, sir, I was looking for a curling iron for my wife Jules when I looked up at the aisle signs and noticed a man in the mirror placing an expensive-looking hairdryer in his coat." "Was there anything noticeable about this man other than the fact that he was hiding a hair-dryer in his coat?" inquired Rodgers. "Well sir, I did see in the mirror that he had a large blue tattoo of what appeared to be a Chinese dragon on his left arm." responded John. "Thank you, sir. If you'll be so kind as to excuse me for a moment while I phone this into the station so they can be on lookout for anyone with a blue Chinese Dragon tattoo." ---Moments Later--- "Sir," Says Detective Rodgers. "Please come with me down to the station, we have picked up several suspects and we would like you to identify the man that you saw." "Of course, Detective," replies Smith. At the station, Detective Rodgers takes John into a room where he can look in on the suspects and ID the culprit. When he looks through the glass he sees five men all with blue Chinese dragons tattooed on an arm. After looking at the five men John points out the only one who had a blue tattoo on his left arm as the culprit. Detective Rodgers considered this for a moment and then asks John to retell the story of how he came to witness the theft. John, of course, eager to help, complies immediately. The Detective thinks over the tale careful before he comes to a conclusion. "Mr. Smith," Says Rodgers in a thoughtful tone. "I regret to inform you that this cannot be the man you saw with the tattoo on his left arm in the mirror." How did Detective Rodgers know that John Smith was mistaken in his identification of the culprit? Shout out to me or send me a private message if you know the answer. Include the subject title with the answer.

Tales in the library

"These are very strong accusations. Are you sure, Jorden?" the librarian asked. "Yes, I'm positive. Yesterday, I saw Beth put one of these," Jorden held up a small envelope containing white powder, "between the X and Y volumes of the Encyclopedia. After she left, a big guy in a leather jacket came in and took the envelope out and put money in. Today, after Beth came, I intercepted the envelope." "What do you have against Beth? You obviously want to get her in trouble." How did the librarian know Jorden was lying? Shout out to me or private message me if ya know the answer. Plz include the subject title with the answer.

Lolly Store

You are a small child who likes to visit the lolly store. When you visit the lolly store to buy some lollies, on the way back you always run into three bullies, each at different locations. They all demand a quarter of the lollies you have on you. If the number of lollies you have isn't divisible by four they will not hesitate to break the lolly into halves or thirds. If each lolly costs 20 cents, and you need to have 27 lollies by the time you reach your house (9 for your father, 9 for your mother and 9 for you), how much money will you need to bring to the store? And how much will each bully get? (1st bully, 2nd bully, 3rd bully) Shout out or private messageme if you think you know the answer. Remember to include the subject title with your answer.

Speeding Blues.

Car 1 started from Point A towards point B. At the same time Car 2 started from point B towards A. They crossed each other at point C. After which, Car 1 reached point B in another 9 hrs, and Car 2 reached point A in another 4 hrs. If both the cars maintained a constant speed throughout the journey, and the speed of Car 1 was 36 miles/hr(mph), then what was the speed of Car 2? If you think you know the answer you can shout out to me or private message me. Plz be sure to include the subject title so I kinow which one you are answering.

A Child's View

"Daddy got all dressed up in his soldiers clothes and kissed me mom "goodbye" I didn't let him see me go behind the tree and cry. I really didn't want him to go away from me but he put me on his knee that day and said he hoped I would take good care of mommy and be very very brave. mommy said ,daddy was going far far away cause some kids parents over in another land had this poison and some gas and they would be bringing it over here to the USA. Daddy tried to help me understand how come their daddies were hiding that chemical stuff My daddy raised me good he taught me not to mess with the medicine in the cabinet and he always told me not to point a gun at anybody..and I won't lessen I see that old sad-dam........... mommy isn't holding up too good. I think.I have tried to help her out and I even been carrying the trash out like daddy has always done.Mommy hasn't even had to tell me to get my homework done..... I think she is missing daddy cause when Came home today she had his picture out. she was sitting at the kitchen table and had the radio on told me that it was playing her and daddy's favorite song. I got into a fight on the school bus today but I will keep that to myself .It wasn't my fault anyway everybody on the bus heard what Daniel had to say. He told me my daddy is just one of bushes thieves .H e said they had just gone to war for the stupid oil.I told him my daddy loves me and mom and he was just gone to protect our home. He doesn't know how it hurt s to have your daddy gone . Guess I got too angry and shouldn't have pushed him down but my daddy's across the world .............. fighting for uncle am and I just hope he doesn't get hurt and doesn't have to die I want him to always be my hero but most of all I want him alive.......... Mother of A Soldier

The mother of a soldier -- hats off to her, I say! The mother of a soldier who has gone to face the fray; She gave him to her country with a blessing on his head -- She found his name this morning in the long list of the dead: "Killed -- Sergeant Thomas Watkins, while leading on the rest, A Bible in his pocket and a portrait on his breast!" The mother of a soldier -- she gave him to her land; She saw him on the transport as he waved his sun-browned hand; She kissed him through the teardrops and she told him to be brave; Her prayers went night and morning with her boy upon the wave. The mother of a soldier -- her comfort and her joy, She gave her dearest treasure when she gave her only boy; She saw the banners waving, she heard the people cheer; She clasped her hands and bravely looked away to hide a tear. The mother of a soldier -- ah! cheer the hero deed, And cheer the brave who battle 'neath the banner of their creed; But don't forget the mothers, through all the lonely years That fight the bravest battles on the sunless field of tears. Nay, don't forget the mothers -- the mothers of our men, Who see them go and never know that they'll come back again; That give them to their country, to battle and to die, Because the bugles call them and the starry banners fly. The mother of a soldier -- hats off to her, I say! Whose head is bowed in sorrow with its tender locks of gray. She gave without regretting, though her old heart sorely bled When she found his name this morning in the long list of the dead: "Killed -- Sergeant Thomas Watkins, while leading on the rest, His dear old mother's portrait clasped upon his hero breast!" Soldier's Christmas

TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS, HE LIVED ALL ALONE, IN A ONE BEDROOM HOUSE MADE OF PLASTER AND STONE. I HAD COME DOWN THE CHIMNEY WITH PRESENTS TO GIVE, AND TO SEE JUST WHO IN THIS HOME DID LIVE. I LOOKED ALL ABOUT, A STRANGE SIGHT I DID SEE, NO TINSEL, NO PRESENTS, NOT EVEN A TREE. NO STOCKING BY MANTLE, JUST BOOTS FILLED WITH SAND, ON THE WALL HUNG PICTURES OF FAR DISTANT LANDS. WITH MEDALS AND BADGES, AWARDS OF ALL KINDS, A SOBER THOUGHT CAME THROUGH MY MIND. FOR THIS HOUSE WAS DIFFERENT, IT WAS DARK AND DREARY, I FOUND THE HOME OF A SOLDIER, ONCE I COULD SEE CLEARLY. THE SOLDIER LAY SLEEPING, SILENT, ALONE, CURLED UP ON THE FLOOR IN THIS ONE BEDROOM HOME. THE FACE WAS SO GENTLE, THE ROOM IN SUCH DISORDER, NOT HOW I PICTURED A UNITED STATES SOLDIER. WAS THIS THE HERO OF WHOM I'D JUST READ? CURLED UP ON A PONCHO, THE FLOOR FOR A BED? I REALIZED THE FAMILIES THAT I SAW THIS NIGHT, OWED THEIR LIVES TO THESE SOLDIERS WHO WERE WILLING TO FIGHT. SOON ROUND THE WORLD, THE CHILDREN WOULD PLAY, AND GROWNUPS WOULD CELEBRATE A BRIGHT CHRISTMAS DAY. THEY ALL ENJOYED FREEDOM EACH MONTH OF THE YEAR, BECAUSE OF THE SOLDIERS, LIKE THE ONE LYING HERE. I COULDN'T HELP WONDER HOW MANY LAY ALONE, ON A COLD CHRISTMAS EVE IN A LAND FAR FROM HOME. THE VERY THOUGHT BROUGHT A TEAR TO MY EYE, I DROPPED TO MY KNEES AND STARTED TO CRY. THE SOLDIER AWAKENED AND I HEARD A ROUGH VOICE, "SANTA DON'T CRY, THIS LIFE IS MY CHOICE; I FIGHT FOR FREEDOM, I DON'T ASK FOR MORE, MY LIFE IS FOR MY GOD, MY COUNTRY, MY CORPS." THE SOLDIER ROLLED OVER AND DRIFTED TO SLEEP, I COULDN'T CONTROL IT, I CONTINUED TO WEEP. I KEPT WATCH FOR HOURS, SO SILENT AND STILL AND WE BOTH SHIVERED FROM THE COLD NIGHT'S CHILL. I DIDN'T WANT TO LEAVE ON THAT COLD, DARK, NIGHT, THIS GUARDIAN OF HONOR SO WILLING TO FIGHT. THEN THE SOLDIER ROLLED OVER, WITH A VOICE SOFT AND PURE, WHISPERED, "CARRY ON SANTA, IT'S CHRISTMAS DAY, ALL IS SECURE."

My Soldier

You probably don’t know his story Most will never speak his name You won’t see him in your dreams tonight But you owe him just the same Since that awful day in September He’s proudly stood to fight To serve his grieving nation He needed to do what was right He’d never admit to being a hero That’s not was heroes do Instead of basking in the limelight He’s fighting for the red, white, and blue Every moment he misses his family Every day brings another fight But, it’s a small price to pay for freedom To let his son sleep safe at night He never asked to leave his family He didn’t ask to go to war Never once has he asked himself “What in the hell am I fighting for? Let somebody else fight for freedom! I’m tired of getting low pay! This is what I get for the sacrifice, Of giving my life away?” He proudly serves his country He wears his ribbons for all to see He’s served Old Glory with honor And he’s fought for our liberty.
