Love is like a rose
At first it seems so immaculate and pure
But underneath it has thorns
Thorns that symbolize the strife
That can cause trouble between two loving souls
Prick their fingers and their hearts
Causing pain and suffering
Yet the glistening drops of the morning dew
Will wash away the pain and anxieties of love
Leaving only the beauty of the rose
The soft petals caressing the face
Of their one true love
For without love or without roses
The world would be a dark and dismal place
