Love should be so easy.
Your heart should guide you.
Our thoughts should always align.
Why is it so hard to love or be loved?
My mind swims with confusion.
What is wrong with me?
Love is so hard to bare,
and yet so easy to show.
Kissing, hugging, and words to be.
That’s what works
but its absence hurts me.
This is why love is so hard.
You want so much and receive so little.
Love is such a let down sometimes.
Yet it can also be rewarding.
It can take so long to find,
sometimes it finds you.
If only love never existed.
Hearts would never be blue.
Love has so many enemies.
It is my greatest one.
If you are reading this,
it has hurt you too or has just begun.
