Movies
I collect Spaghetti Westerns, European Horror and Exploitation films from the 1960s and 70s. I like others kinds of movies too, but these are my frequent favorites. I love the B movies, not because they were great films, but because they were made by people who truly loved film and wanted to do their best, even if the resources didn't always allow for it. So today when I see a major film release that has a proper budget, and it still sucks, I just shake my head. Might as well watch a B movie! At least it had heart! Especially if Peter Cushing is plunging a stake through it. :)
A lot of the music I make is influenced by the composers of these films. And now some of my faves, these are the ones i like to kick back with a drink or two and watch:
Apocalypse Now, Once Upon a Time Into the West, The Outlaw Josey Wales, Fistful of Dollars, For a Few Dollars More, The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly, Scars of Dracula, The Horror of Dracula, Eugenie, She Killed in Ecstacy, Vampyros Lesbos, Venus in Furs, My Name is Nobody, The Mission, Once Upon a Time in America, This Is Spinal Tap, Standing in the Shadows of Motown, The Big Gundown, The Ox Bow Incident, The Godfather Trilogy (i can't watch these without pasta!!), Fantasm (oops this aint Euro Horror, but still), Shockwaves, almost any Jess Franco movie made before 1980, almost any Hammer Film, almost any Italian Giallo!!
Idols
Hmm I'm not sure I idolize anyone anymore, but I will say that I thank God we have the best and bravest fighting men and women in the world. Without their sacrifices, guys like me would not have the freedom to play loud music that was a bit different than socially accepted norms.
Did ya know that in a one party communist state like Vietnam if you are in a band you can only play songs live that are from an approved government song list? That was the case when I was there.
So next time you see a soldier, thank him or her for giving you the freedoms you enjoy. I try to.

Video Games
I've been playing computer and video games since I was 5 (Pong), so I don't know how to answer this section. I've even worked on a couple. 3D is a casual hobby of mine, but I'm a total newb at it as you can see.
