I want to thank all of you that have sent me your wonderful condolences on my dads passing. It has been hard but I am getting through it. Your friendship means so much to me more then you can imagine, especially at this time that has been very difficult. I love you all!

I know I haven't been around here for a while but I was trying to spend as much time as I could with my dad. He has now passed away. It doesn't make it any easier knowing that this day was coming. I am grateful he isn't suffering anymore, the last few days were such a struggle for him. Might be awhile before I will be around again. Take Care, Susie

Haven't been around much as my dad is back in the hospital. He wasn't even home a week when things got bad again. On Sunday he suffered a stroke at home and now has a blood infection. Basically it's a just wait and see thing now. His prognosis is poor but it's been that way before and he has gotten well enough to come home. I have always had a strong faith but now not so..I have watched my dad become a small frail man from someone big and burly. So as usual I am either at work or the hospital. Hope everyone is well and will talk to you when I can.

Today my dad was discharged from the hospital and sent to a rehab facility. When I walked in there with him my heart fell in my chest. The place was disgusting. It was old, smelled and just plain gross. There was no way in hell I was letting my dad stay there! I wouldn't even leave my worst enemy there. I immediately got on the phone with my dads Dr and insurance. After a major fit on my part I got him into another one which where he went before when he had his first amputation. The administrator of the first facility wasn't too happy with me, but frankly I really don't care. So everything is going well with him and hopefully stays that way. Things are looking up for me as well. Last Monday I interviewed for a higher up position where I work and today I was notified that the job is mine. :D A few of you know what this means to me. Hopefully now that things are settling down with my dad I will have a little more time to be on here. I wish all of you a great and safe weekend! Hugs, Susie

Just a little update...Dad stabilized enough over the past week and he had his surgery today. A few complications during the surgery but he is doing ok. They also put a pic line in so he is on long term antibiotics. I am just taking a day at a time with all this and know that I do miss you all and will be back longer when things calm down. Right now it's family first. Hope everyone is well and ttys! Susie

I just wanted to let you guys know I will not be around for awhile. So much is going on in my life now and I just don't have the time. My life has been crazy to say the least this year, and is really crazy now, esp with my dad being in the hospital again. It's not good and he is in ICU where they are trying to stabilize him so they can amputate the good leg he has left. The drs. say they don't know if he will even make it to the surgery, but I have faith. So with work, my kids, and being at the hospital there is not much time left and I am just not in the mood to be on here. Not sure how long I will be gone, maybe a week or more. I will try to pop in when I can. There are a few of you on here that mean so much to me and you know who you are. I will be back as soon as things calm down.
