The problem that presents us with is that in each moment our needs and wants change, whether it be subtly or grandly, and this means that whoever is trying to please us, can never completely do so. Our clothes, hair, body-weight, hobbies, jobs, cars, houses, monetary assests, and even personalities are predicated with the goal of pleasing either a specific person or the opposite sex as a whole.
