Been a DJ for 17 years. Currently using digital formats via Numark HDX's and Numark 5000FX Mixer. Run all Mackie self powered speakers. Have DJ'd just about everything/type of venue/genre.
Spent most of my life in Idaho, California, Oregon and Washington St.--where I've lived most of most of my life and currently live. I just moved to the ocean outside of Seattle on the west coast, seemed like a good place to recover from the shoulder injury I got riding 4-wheelers.
I have been working with computers even longer than I have been dj'ing. From building, programming and installing of computers for tech companies and building/inspecting circuit boards to scripting and hooking into audio and visual and having fun there.
Will the culmination of these two worlds take place, here, on fubar? Stay tuned to find out!
ok to figure that out link to that evil creature called myspace for now. You know my nick so you know the addy.
Music
I could rant about this genre or that, this artist or that, but I won't. After DJ'ing so many different types of events that took my musical experience through everything from Bach to ZZ Top, from Akon to Rage, and maybe even Dolly Parton to Suicidal Tendencies or VNV. This has forced me to understand that there is good music in every genre. Whether it be a riff, a beat or even the whole song. It's there, in that genre you hate. You just haven't heard it yet. So I keep it open. I can say I have my preferences over what I like to mix... But to learn what those are your gonna have to catch me on the 1's & 2's.
