Frank Wade
Frank Wade, 75, of Rock Island died Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2007, in Rock Island.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Larson Funeral Home, Rock Island. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Rock Island. Military rites will be conducted by the Milan American Legion.
Frank was born July 9, 1931, in Browning, Ill., the son of Frank and Sylvia Riley Wade. He married Frances Brocksieck Oct. 11, 1969, in Rock Island. She died Nov. 19, 1993.
He was a roofer, working out of the Roofer's Union Local No. 32 for over 35 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He was also a top notch auto mechanic. He loved being with his family.
Survivors (and spouses) include his companion, Rita Gillespie; daughters, Sandra (Joseph) Stamper, Silvis, Susan (Albert) Martin, East Moline, Sylvia (Scott) Luppen, Taylor Ridge, Ruby (Michael) Payton, Carbon Cliff, and Candy (Richard) Myers, Rock Island; sons, Frank Wade, Rock Island, and Rodney (Connie) Wade, Moline; 24 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; stepsons, George (Pam) Gillespie, Aurora, S.D., Gordon Gillespie, Columbia, S.C., James (Holly) Gillespie, Cumming, Ga., and Aaron Gillespie, Milan; eight stepgrandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.
