| I was driving home today and when getting off the freeway I saw the usual line of homeless with their signs asking for money, food and whatnot. I notice that there was this younger guy there so, Out of curiousity I asked how old he was and why he was there. I was shocked to hear that he was only a year older than me. I asked if he knew about the day labor places that could help him he said yes and i asked if hed gone and he said no. Now I'm usually always ok with handing over a few bucks to people in need. This time however I was highly upset passed judgment on this poor guy and told him he had no one to blame but himself and drove away. Was I wrong about this? I work hard for what I have and it isnt much, I'll be dam if i should get it up to someone who is just looking for a hand out. Wrong or Right? |
