In regressing here this evening Thinking over days gone by Living life with dignity Taking stress in stride I've found that unimportant things Were given up to chance For details are a memory I settled for a slow dance To taste the heady passions To smell the blooming flowers To climb a tree when I chose Get soaked in April showers To take a trip to around the world Having never left my home With a Gypsy spirit antsy My curiosity roamed I met the rich and famous I felt the desert air I tripped the light fantastic Because I have no fear In case you might be wondering Why I took such chance Those details now are memories I opted for this slow dance.

If you had one chance, Would you take it? If you were given a taste of your dreams, Would you make it? If you were shown what you dreamed of, Would you take it? Don’t you see? You are my destiny, All roads have lead me here. If your greatest fear was taken away. Would you take it then? If all the problems were taken way. Would you make it then? If you were given the chance to show your potential. Wouldn’t you take that chance? Don’t you see? You are my destiny. All roads lead me here. All I had to do was make a sacrifice. And look what I have got? If that was the only thing you had to do, Wouldn’t you do it for the chance? Wouldn’t you do for your destiny? Don’t you see? You are my destiny, All roads lead me here. You just don’t understand, It’s my destiny to be here, To share life with you. You say you don’t believe in destiny? I say that you do, You just don’t know it yet. My Destiny is you!

The Power that comes from being Alone

Some people are so afraid of being alone that they would rather stay in a bad marriage or they will rush into a new relationship to avoid being alone. And yet, you can be more alone in a bad marriage than you'll ever be by yourself.

* Being alone does not mean that you must be lonely.

* Being alone gives you the opportunity to discover what really makes you happy.

* Being alone means taking control of your life.

* Being alone means doing for yourself because you want to, not because you have to.

* Being alone means doing for others because you want to, not because you have to.

* Being alone means you can eat crackers and cheese in bed at 3 a.m. while you watch a sappy movie.

* Being alone means you can cry if you want to.

* Being alone means you can buy yourself something dumb.

* Being alone means you can cook whatever you'd like -- if and when you feel like it.

* Being alone means that you may not always be able to afford everything you'd like to buy, but you will probably find the price of freedom from a bad relationship is worth adjusting your needs so that you want what you can afford.

* Being alone means you can sleep all day and party all night.

* Being alone means you can have a pet or two or four.

* Being alone means you take up a new hobby or continue one which you put aside.

* Being alone means you can take dance lessons.

* Being alone means you can introduce yourself to interesting people.

* Being alone means you can be outrageous.

* Being alone means you can pamper yourself.

* Being alone means you don't have to ask permission.

* Being alone means you can have the friends you'd like to have.

* Being alone means the remote control is yours.

* Being alone sets you free.

* Being alone gives time to better yourself, for yourself.

* Being alone hurts but will help you grow stronger.

* Being alone teaches you to depend upon the one person in the world who will always be there for you -- you. You may do many of these things when you are married, but most people don't. When you do meet someone who makes you want to give up being alone, you will take into your new relationship a renewed understanding of yourself. And your relationship will be that much more enriched with your knowledge that being with someone you truly love is just as good as being alone.

*Few people really want to be alone. Though sometimes circumstances do not let us always choose when we are to be alone.Some adapt very well to the life of a lone wolf. Some even have a penchant at it. Being single does not necessarily mean that you are alone neither. Surround yourself with friends and family and treat them all the way you would want to be treated yourself, with dignity, respect and love and it will be repaid ten-fold.

I want to know the you That has not been introduced to anyone else. I'm talking about the you That you've been keeping to yourself. I want to know your most recent fantasy You know, the one that just tickled your fancy. I want to know each and every thought of me, So I can lay back and contemplate bringing them to reality. I want to know that spot That seems to be under so much stress. Because as a body physician, I have the answer It just needs to be caressed. I want to know if that same spot Was rubbed, licked and kissed, Would your mind ponder On what you might have missed. I want to know what makes you happy, What makes you sad, What makes you sigh And what makes you cry. If I have to take a dive, And explore the ocean floor, I'll find the deepest secret And bring it back to shore. I want to know, That no matter what we're going through Whether our lives are sunny or blue I want to know - do I have a friend in you?

WOMEN ARE COMPLEX CREATURES! If you kiss her, you are not a gentleman If you don't, you are not a man If you praise her, she thinks you are lying If you don't, you are good for nothing If you agree to all her likes, you are a wimp If you don't, you are not understanding If you put a woman on a pedestal and try to protect her from the rat race, you are a male chauvinist. If you stay home and do the housework, you are a pansy. If you visit her often, she thinks you are boring If you don't, she accuses you of double-crossing If you are well dressed, she says you are a playboy If you don't, you are a dull boy If you are jealous, she says it's bad If you don't, she thinks you do not love her If you attempt a romance, she says you didn't respect her If you don't, she thinks you do not like her If you are a minute late, she complains it's hard to wait If she is late, she says that's a girl's way If you visit another man, you're not putting in "quality time" If she is visited by another woman, "oh it's natural, we are girls" If you ask her to do something she doesn't enjoy, that's domination. If she asks you, it's a favor. If you buy her flowers, you are after something. If you don't, you are not thoughtful. If you kiss her once in a while, she professes you are cold If you kiss her often, she yells that you are taking advantage If you are proud of your achievements, you are up yourself. If you don't, you are not ambitious. If you work too hard, there is never any time for her.. If you don't work enough, you are a good for nothing bum. If she has a headache, she is tired. If you have a headache, you don't love her anymore. If you fail to help her in crossing the street, you lack ethics If you do she thinks it's just one of men's tactics for seduction If you stare at another woman, she accuses you of flirting If she is stared by other men, she says that they are just admiring If you talk, she wants you to listen If you listen, she wants you to talk In short so simple, yet so complex So weak, yet so powerful Confusing, yet so desirable So damn demanding, yet so wonderful.... WOMEN... Can't you tell that I Love them! Here's to Women!

I've learned... That the best classroom in the world is at the feet of an elderly person. That when you're in love, it shows. That just one person saying to me, "You've made my day!" makes my day. That having a child fall asleep in your arms is one of the most peaceful feelings in the world. That being kind is more important than being right. That you should never say no to a gift from a child. That I can always pray for someone when I don't have the strength to help him in some other way. That no matter how serious your life requires you to be, everyone needs a friend to act goofy with. That sometimes all a person needs is a hand to hold, and a heart to understand. That simple walks with my father, around the block on summer nights when I was a child, did wonders for me as an adult. That life is like a roll of toilet paper - the closer it gets to the end, the faster it goes. That we should be glad God doesn't give us everything we ask for. That money doesn't buy class. That it's those small daily happenings that make life so spectacular. That under everyone's hard shell, is someone who wants to be appreciated and loved. That the Lord didn't do it all in one day - what makes me think that I can? That to ignore the facts does not change the facts. That when you plan to get even with someone, you are only letting that person continue to hurt you. That love - not time - heals all wounds. That the easiest way for me to grow as a person is to surround myself with people smarter than I am. That everyone you meet deserves to be greeted with a smile. That there's nothing sweeter than sleeping with your babies and feeling their breath on your cheek. That no one is perfect until you fall in love with them. That life is tough, but I'm tougher. That opportunities are never lost; someone will take the ones you miss. That when you harbor bitterness, happiness will dock elsewhere. That I wish I could have told my mom that I love her one more time before she passed away. That one should keep his words both soft and tender, because tomorrow, he may have to eat them. That a smile is an inexpensive way to improve your looks. That I can't choose how I feel, but I can choose what I do about it. That when your newly born grandchild holds your little finger in his little fist, you're hooked for life. That everyone wants to live on top of the mountain, but that all the happiness and growth occurs while you're climbing it. That it's best to give advice in only two circumstances; when it's requested, and when it's a life threatening situation. That the less time I have to work with, the more things I get done.
