Every single time a killing by gun makes the national news there is an outcry for more gun laws. Before 'reacting' think about who OBEYS laws, and who does not. And recall how in mankinds 'past' most dictators killed millions of Citizens once they had disarmed them, e.g.- Khmers, Lenin and Stalin, Hitler. Hmmmmmm . (Armed Citizens enforcing law have been 'roughly deputized' sometimes against their will, to enforce the law. It is called a possee).
1) Would you rather have more gun laws, knowing that "criminals' will Never obey those laws, thus the Only people affected are "we the People," who are now at the mercy of gun-toting Criminals (and cops who are never around)
OR (2) Let regular people arm themselves as they see fit; take training classes as they can, and be ready IF criminals show up in Public (such as a car-jacking ) or at Your door (like a home invasion).
Remember the words of an astute & wise author - "An armed Citizenry is , by necessity, extremely courteous." |
