| I have a question..... my furnace calls for a special filter,, its size is 20 x 16 x 5. You can ONLY purchase this at the shop that installed my furnace (I think its a scam, and they didn't warn me about the special filter size before installing of course) and its cost is $50.00. They of course recommend changing this filter every 6 months (3 if you have pets which of course I do). I was at Lowe's today, and saw that you can buy a package of filters... 20 x 16 x 1 for an average of $5- $7. Would it harm my furnace to place 5 of them in there, or should I just suck it up and purchase the special one from the shop? |
