mum expired. [FRIENDS]

I have a best friend that I have known for about 16 years. He is married with a few kids. I am in a relationship with four kids myself. His wife got pissed off that we were talking and that I had his pic on myspace under BFFs. I haven't talked to him for a couple of months now. Should I wait for him to get in touch with me or should I forget about him and try to forget him?
