All right, so saw an episode on Primetime about our destruction. They covered 5 major events that would lead to basically the destruction of the human race. Although I won't go into much detail about all 5, I wanna focus on the last 2 and thus most likely ideas, and then go from there.
5. Super Volcano - massive undergound volcanoes that could basically lead to a blackout of the sun and put us underneath a cloud of sulfur to bring about nuclear winter.
4. Meteorite - Crashes into one of the oceans and if hits hard enough, could cause the core to collapse, on top of unleashing trillions of tons of water that would flood the planet (obviously)
3. Nuclear Holocaust - Eh despite the dumbasses in the world I personally have enough faith in the race that no one will launch nukes.
2. Man Made Disease - A virus with the capabilities of the common cold to infinitely change and adapt, made by man. For those of you in the military you'll know more about this than regular civillians, won't go into more detail.
1. Climate Change - Needless to say, I think it's safe to say the climate is changing, animals are inhabiting places that they would not normally be in, and the magnetic north and south poles have already begun their switch in some parts of the world (see Northern Atlantic and Southern Pacific Oceans...El Nino)
The question is, what do you think would bring about our destruction? CLimate Change, or Man Made Disease, or something else? |
