Election 2008
I have been thinking about who I would vote for in the national elections for 2008 and I am still stuck on a choice. I like Biden, but I am sure Obama or Clinton will get the Democratic nod. I am not sure about the Republicans, but I use to like McCain until he sold his soul to the right.
I have no problem with religion or strong beliefs, but once it start encroaching on my right to be a how I want to be, then I view it as a problem. I think we have more pressing issues to talk about in this country, like a universal health system, education, poverty, jobs and overall security to worry about abortion and gay marriages. While these things might be important to some people on the right and some people on the left, I still view them as personal issues that should not be legislated locally or nationally.
I don’t want to use this as a forum to get political, but I am asking everyone to vote with an open mind. Not everyone is religious, not everyone is liberal, and not everyone is conservation, so vote for a candidate that will fall in the middle and government justly. We don’t have to agree with each other views, but we still have to live in the same country. Respect me and I will respect you. Caring and Sharing is universal, so don’t like your hang ups stop you from doing what is Godly or Charitable. Who knows, that poor person you help today, might ultimately stand up for your cause.
Please Vote in 2008.
