Existence is suffering. Just the nature of being means you're going to suffer.  There's no denying that. It's a hard truth that everything we do will eventually fade away and everyone we know and love will eventually be gone. It's hard to accept those facts. But the beauty of life is that suffering gives it meaning. We need to try and be in a place where we go out in the world and make this suffering tolerable or manageable, not just for ourselves but for others too.  At the very least, we can try and go out to make it not worse for others, that's a great to point to start.

The way we act in every day life to help make the suffering tolerable or manageable is that our decisions have to be good for us, not just now but also good for us in the future.  But more than that, it also has to be good for our families and for society as a whole.  Staying within societal accepted behaviors is critical to our growth as individuals.  Being accepted by our families, our friends and by society is very tribal and a very old survival instinct.  It's coded in our DNA.  If we don't stay within those confines, we get cast out, figuratively and also, it could even be literally.  Being left alone in today's society is devasting psychologically. Not having the support of our families and/or friends is the worst scenario possible.  An awful downward spiral can begin that possibly we can not recover from.  When you reach that state of suffering, all you do is try to make others suffer as much as you are.

With that being said, at the very least, it's such a noble notion to try and live a life that eases the suffering of others despite the suffering you're experiencing, just as a consequence of being.  Not everyone is built to do that but we can all at least do this, we all have the ability to live a life that doesn't increase the suffering of others.  If we lived in that mindset, at the very least, life becomes so much better. 

I don't know if this will make sense to anyone but this is how I view life and people.  I try my best to not increase the suffering of others and for those that I care about, I'll do everything I can to make their suffering less.  I hope you, reading this, is the same way.
