The past couple months I have been dog sitting a Bull Mastiff for some friends while they are in housing transition. They have been paying me $50 every time they bring food for him. He's completely harmless and a great-natured dog. I have been the core caregiver of him since he came to stay. Feeding, fresh water, grooming, vacuuming up the dander, and keeping my little Shih-Tzu from ripping his face off, etc. My oldest daughter always thinks she is entitled to some of the dog-sitting $ just because she is friends with the owners' daughter. But I have never shared the money with her. Last week the dog was down & couldn't hardly walk due to his bad hips. The owners told me that he had been seen by a vet for it in the past and that all he needed was some exercise. (He sleeps more than half the day away). My daughter took him on a long walk 2 days in a row, which cured him of his problem. The owners will be making another payment for my services tomorrow.
Should I share some of the money with my daughter this time around or not? |
