The trouble with epiphanies -

a sudden, intuitive perception of or insight into the reality or essential meaning of something, usually initiated by some simple, homely, or commonplace occurrence or experience.

The trouble is, you can never tell WHEN an epiphany will strike.
You could be blindly walking through life, looking for your own personal epiphany, only to realize 5 years down the road that your epiphany was there all along...thereby having an epiphany about your epiphany, and yet, alas too late, too late.
Perhaps upon seeing a penny laying on the ground....perhaps counting change for $1.38...perhaps hearing "Heart of Glass" on the oldies station....you just never know when you might realize....maybe you should have held onto that lucky penny.....
