I sit here looking out the window wondering if you are out there. I let myself daydream about you. Where you are, what you are doing, what you are looking for, and what you want. I can see your shadow but, not your face. You have gentle ways, kind words, and you are very caring. You want to make me happy.
I pass you by on the street, in the store, and I have no idea you are there. You smile like you do and I smile back thinking that you are nice and friendly person. However, I keep walking away. Always wondering if I have missed you. Wondering if I haven't taken the time to stop and see you for who you really are.
I keep wondering around looking for you. Then I realize if I stop looking maybe you will show yourself to me. So I go about my day by day after day. Smiling, laughing, talking to my friends. Then all of a sudden you are there. We see each other for who and what we are. Friends. You have been there all along. Listening to me, to my problems, my troubles, my success, and my joys. You have supported me when I didn't have anyone else to support me. You stood by me in my grief, and you rolled on the ground laughing with me. We have talked at all hours of the day and night.
You are my best friend. The one that I can't live without. The one that makes me laugh, makes me smile, makes me cry and make me remember what love is all about.. You know who you are.
