Captain America's blog: "About me"

created on 09/24/2006  |  http://fubar.com/about-me/b6391

Would it go something like this? Friends all tried to warn me But I held my head up high All the time they warned me But I only passed them by They all tried to tell me But I guess I didn't care I turned my back and Left them standing there All the burning bridges that have fallen after me All the lonely feelings and the burning memories Everyone I left behind each time I closed the door Burning bridges lost forevermore Joey tried to help me find a job A while ago When I finally got it I didn't want to go The party Mary gave for me When I just walked away Now there's nothing left for me to say All the burning bridges that have fallen after me All the lonely feelings and the burning memories Everyone I left behind each time I closed the door Burning bridges lost forevermore Years have passed and I keep thinking What a fool I've been I look back into the past and Think of way back then I know that I lost everything I thought I that could win I guess I should have listened to my friends All the burning bridges that have fallen after me All the lonely feelings and the burning memories Everyone I left behind each time I closed the door Burning bridges lost forevermore Burning bridges lost forevermore

A friend.......

So a friend of mine she posted this and I thought it was so good! it should be posted for all to see on my list. So the credit goes to her and if this isn't the truth about friendship, relationships or anything for that matter in particular I don't know what is. Take the time to read it! & think about all that has come and gone & what awaits ahead.
Dear Friend,

there's a ghost in this memory;
i think i'll name it after all of you.

see I came in here and I sat in silence
and heard the echoes of who we used to be.

and I heard the memory in my ears,
back to the years and all those tears.

I guess somehow time goes by
and what we had just goes away.

maybe best-friends aren't always an absolute.

The End Of All Ends.

The End Of All Ends. I was watching, Lost In Space the other night the movie. I seen the tv show when I was a kid, but I must say I really liked the movie. Sure a lot of people didn't but that's them.. Anyway, I ended up watching BSG, Battlestar Galactica yesterdays episode the new one a few hours after. First off if your on a space ship perhaps lost in space and you had a Dr. Smith, or Baltar on your ship what would you do? For me the question would be as simple as simple can be. I'd blast the both of them into deep space! Right out the fucking airlock. I mean what idiots would keep such a major threat to the safety of others? To give you an idea of these two people I speak of in case you don't know what I'm talking about. Dr. Smith is a person who tried to kill the Robinson Family, by using the ship called the Jupiter 2's Robot. The B-9 to kill them in their sleep he gets caught in the act sort of way he's still on board the ship as the robot starts messing things up and so on blah, blah blah! You get the point. Yet they keep him around. The movie you weren't sure if they were. Of course we will never know because there isn't going to be a sequel. Maybe a remake for a tv series someday. As for Baltar, he killed off pretty much the entire human race. The guy in the original series was aware of the end of his kind. The new one sort of sort of not. Still to me he was aware, I mean why would you give someone who shouldn't have access to military codes that protect your planet in the first place? What did he think was going to happen? I mean come on how stupid do you have to be? Pretty stupid in his case. He's a traitor to his own kind and should be taken care off. Anyway, more about BSG. This show has gone a complete 360 and to me not for the better either. It's in a way ruined what I've come to enjoy in the new one and the original series. I mean what a way to slap it to fans. First you change all the male characters into girls. Ok maybe that's not so bad. I ended up dealing with what they did and accepted the show anyway after about two seasons into the show. Though it did annoy me. Anyway, this new season has really taken what I've come to like by not only making everyone a cylon just about. Damn writers! It makes the scum of the earth a god like figure? I mean what the hell? This guy let some hot looking robot kill his kind because of his own weaknesses. I mean who the hell are they kidding? Him Baltar? God? I don't think so. I'm sorry but he is scum and should be shot out of an airlock. He is the biggest threat on that ship. Of course he's such a wuss that it wouldn't take much effort to shot him into space. Anyway, as I was saying I'm not to pleased at the moment. Oh well, maybe one of those pretty not to bright girls with him where he is staying will give him some disease and kill him shortly. It be very fitting to say the least. Eh..... what a joke. I'll stick by it till the end see it all the way through. Since I've gone this far watching the show. Oh well what they won't take and fuck up next huh? I apologize for those who took the time to even read half of what I wrote even if you had no real interest in anything I talked about ;)

Starlight

It's official!

I am truly intrigued about the new Indiana Jones movie coming out soon. At first I didn't care so much for the idea when they said Sean Connery, wasn't going to reprise his role, however I guess it could be worse right? But see I liked the first Indiana Jones, and the third being my all time fav! the second one meh, I didn't care for that much. Though if it wasn't for a certain someone posting the video she knows who she is ;) I would never of seen the trailer til' long after and may not have really paid attention so thank you Allee! You should check it out those of you who liked any of the movies in the series it's worth a look ;)

Your Rights Online: Facebook Sharing Too Much Personal Data With Application Developers An anonymous reader writes "Remember the Facebook News Feed privacy uproar? What about the Beacon scandal from late last year? Privacy activists are rallying around yet another major issue at Facebook, in which the company is secretly sharing user data with third parties. Researchers from the University of Virginia recently announced that in a study of the top 150 Facebook applications, more than 90% were given access to information that was not needed to function correctly. That Scrabble or Superpoke application you really like? Its developers get access to your religion, sexuality and home town. Facebook's position was summed up by Georgetown Law Professor Dan Solove, 'They seem to be going on the assumption that if someone uses Facebook, they really have no privacy concerns.' Do Facebook users deserve privacy? " http://yro.slashdot.org/yro/08/02/07/1646250.shtml Those of you who remember, I posted a blog and bulletin about this not long ago. Hell if I remember correct I told all of you twice before that! About facebook..... I've had an account on there for a while.... I truly rarely ever get on it. More and more I wonder about the stuff that site is allowing. It worries me..... I go on there and I see all these programs people send me to try out and put on my page. Now I know programs are good for us and can also be used for bad. To me for people I don't know who they are or let alone know anything about them in the first place to know as little about me as possible. That site just seems to want access to who I am and all sorts of bs.... more than anything with the programs people create and want me to install. I saw a friend of mine on there she had her xbox live gamer score thing like I do on here. But unlike on here... facebook doesn't allow you to post html code like you do with myspace. So I can't display my gamer score unless I give access to some punk I know nothing about except he created the program and it will only allow me to use it if I accept the fact that he can be allowed access to my profile and maybe even my computer... I don't think so... I like the idea it allows people to create programs but I don't think you should give it access to knowledge about you and so on. Doesn't anyone know what could happen? You could get spyware a virus even and remote access to your pc this way. To me you shouldn't have to give up access to someone else. For that reason alone I'm paranoid about the site and all it's programs designed for us to use on there. So let me ask those of you who use that site or know a thing or two of what I'm speaking of..... What do you think? Do you think I'm being to overprotective? Am I overlooking something on the matter at hand? Or perhaps I'm thinking to much into this subject? Would love to know your thoughts and ideas on this bulletin post of mine.

Once in a while.....

Once in a while I come across something that truly gets me excited.

I'm not one to get overly hyped up over certain things but there are a few exceptions for example Rambo 4, Halo 3, Star Wars Episode 3, and the New James Bond movie coming out called Quantum of Solace are some few examples of things that have caught my interest.

With that aside you can see only a few things I truly look forward to more than anything.

Then there are things I find truly hard to get hyped over.

Anyone Remember the TV show Knight Rider with the kick ass Trans Am? Well, they have remade it of course it's about Micheal Knight's son. This would be something I would look forward to but you know what makes it hard to be hyped over the new show? The fact KITT the AI Computer car isn't a Trans Am anymore it's a fucking mustang! What the hell is that for a car? Are you kidding me? That's like giving Marty & the Doc that piece of shit AMC Pacer From Wayne's World instead of the DeLorean DMC12....

I mean what a way to piss fans off?

Anyway, what I'm really hyped up on is a video game called "Faith and a .45".

I love the name, I love the handgun and I just can't help but enjoy the girl named Ruby an her pretty red hair.
Which by the way, I have a thing for red heads.

This game probably won't be out til' 2009 or 2010. Which only God knows I may never make it to that point in time. Because from one day to the next you never know.....

So this videogame is one of two games I'm looking forward to that I know of so far.

The other being Dead Rising 2. I love the first which I'm not big on zombie movies nor zombie games. However this one took me by surprise and held on for dear life.

But I feel bad I'm truly looking forward to Faith and a .45 a lot and it won't be out for sometime.

Here's a clip that's got me all hyped up about besides the promo picture. Once in a while I come across something that truly gets me excited.

What I love about this game that no other game has so far touched is a really fantastic story and I love the fact if your character gets hurt or is on his last life line the girl that's your sidekick "Ruby" aka (love interest in game) and in the story line will run over to you and kiss you an bring back your character.

The plot has to do with the great depression era with a Bonnie and Clyde like couple

Plus not only does it have a sweet idea for co-op but the fact it takes a game I enjoyed called Drake's Fortune for PS3 which I beat... anyhow as I was saying it takes an element from that game and makes it even better which is the fact that you can control both the main character and the girl Ruby. However you can, let a friend pick up a controller and play as the other person.

Hopefully they will make it work with Xbox Live as well. That be kinda of cool at least I think because that way not only could you and your real life love interest, perhaps could play the game together as a real couple like in the game....

What they won't do to bring people together eh?

lol I think that's kinda of neat.

I could imagine a couple playing this game and if they broke up one of them saying "...but we played Faith and a .45 together...didn't that mean something?" lol ;)

Just wanted to say as my closing sentence thank you for those of you took the time to read something I wrote about even if you had no real interest in anything I said or talked about.
