I am 58 yrs, 6'0" tall, have a slender build and weigh 150 lbs. I have only been in three long-term relationships, one of which was my disastrous marriage to a woman who I discovered her whole life story was a complete fantasy and lie.

I am a former archaeologist (1986-1995) that specialized in the Ancestral Puebloan (formerly known as Anasazi) culture here in the Four Corners of UT, CO, AZ, and NM. I currently work at garden center, as the "Nursery Department Head." I advise the owner on nursery stock (trees and bushes) purchases, as well as supervise 2-4 laborers. I love the red-rock canyons and go hiking, camping, 4-wheeling as often as I can. For me there is nothing like sitting on a canyon rim at sunset. Out there I get grounded, revitalized, reconnect with myself and my deity, and become calm.

My father was a naturalist ranger for the US National Parks and Monuments, thus, during my formative years we moved every 4-5 years. Born when he was at Lassen National Park, CA, we moved to Crater Lake, OR, when I was 18 months old. In the 2nd grade we moved to Arches Nat'l Park, UT, where he helped establish Canyonlands as a Nat'l Park. In the 6th grade we went to Carlsbad Caverns, NM, where he retired between my sophomore and senior years. We returned to southeast Utah where I graduated high school in Moab. Then began my own gypsy years; Logan Utah to Bend Oregon, back to Logan, then back down to Moab, and finally I settled in southwest Colorado, in Durango. When I became an archaeologist, I relocated to Montezuma County where I managed to save enough money to take out a mortgage on a house. I mention my wanderings because I believe growing up surrounded by nature greatly influenced my values and morals, and molded my character and personality. A three-year long illness during my 'teens prompted me to seek alternative forms of healing, including physical and auroric massage.

I consider myself to be a unique man that is intelligent, creative, considerate, and gallant. I am kind-hearted, extremely patient and forgiving. I enjoy being a gentleman and will open the door for you. If you believe this trait to be a condescending or sexist character flaw, I am not the man for you. I am non-aggressive and avoid conflict and drama, preferring to stay away from that personality type. In social situations, I tend to get bored with mundane conversations, preferring to steer topics towards individual hopes, dreams and expectations.
