Life:I'm just a guy getting along. I'm an insurance adjuster that was born to be an artist. I've always been too smart for my own good, and I've never been more aware of that than I have been this past year. Sometimes it's nice to not think about every little thing, so for a while at least, I'll be thinking as little as possible. Sometimes you just have to sit back and try to figure out where you fit in in life, and others, you just need to dive in and see where the chips fall. I've been gifted with good friends, a good life, and a great dog. I've seen things that proved to me once and for all that all of this is happening for a reason. And I've seen things that proved beyond a doubt the opposite. Conclusion: I want a sandwich.Love:I've had the misfortune to fall deeply and passionately in love twice in my life. They should have rehab for it. The first was a train wreck that would take more space than they give me here to describe. And the second ended with a whimper, rather than a bang. So as things go, I don't advise falling in love in general if you can avoid it. Unfortunately, I can't, it seems.What that says about me, I don't know. But one thing I've come to understand is that I need love in my life to give it the depth and texture I need to be truly and completely happy. I think that people aren't made to go through all of this alone. That's why I've always thought it was so silly that it's so hard to find somebody you really connect with.And,sadly, it just gets harder the more you mature.(whenever you let that happen, and once again, I advise against it) If you're young enough, just being with anybody is great, but you start to expect more. You start looking for that deeper connection that will really make you feel like you're with somebody who makes up for all you lack. And apparently THAT is a lot harder to find.Still looking.Religion:I look at life as an exercise in applied will. Some have more than others, and those are the people that move things in our world. I think the dice are loaded sometimes. And if you choose to call that god, karma, fate, flying spaghetti monster, or what have you, feel free and I won't contradict.
