Idols
Idols? Hmmm... More like people I look up to...
Steve Jobs & Steve Wozniak:
If it wasn't for these two guys, who knows where the computer industry would be. Seriously. Did you know that Apple invented the first electronic PDA? Did you know that you wouldn't have AOL if wasn't for Apple? Did you know that the videogame "Breakout" was developed and designed by both Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak when they both worked for Atari? Apple is the ONLY computer company the world over, that has a Grammy.
These two just keep innovating. That's what I look up to... constant creation.
Turntablists:
For those of you who don't know what a turntablist is, let me just throw some names out that you already know:
Mix Master Mike
Qbert
Jam Master Jay
DJ Jazzy Jeff
Rakim (of Eric B. & Rakim)
Terminator X (Public Enemy)
Afrika Bambaataa
Now, if you don't know any of these name yet, please e-mail me, and I'll explain futher. But for now, let me just say that these people (and countless others) are responsible for you shaking your "groove thang" and just about any party. If you've never seen them live, you've most certainly heard their music. Cutting and Scratching... the skills of the Turntablist. The dexterity of being able to manipulate records not only to hilite and accentuate a song, but right down to the composition of the music itself. Creation of audio, from audio itself. Sheer poetry.
I'll stop there, because I could be here a couple days listing them all. But, if you want to know more, then just come visit my personal domain at:
