Hi. I'm Swagato. Equal emphasis on all three syllables. I was born in India. I am not Indian, nor do I affiliate myself to any ethnicity per se. I strive to be a citizen of the world and all that it has to offer. I try to find the world that exists behind that which is perceived. I try to find something that can capture my interest in every blink of my eye. I seek something humorous in every direction; whether it be the wry realisation of human frailty, or the cynical superficiality with which we cloak our motives, or the simply comic. I pride myself on my attention to details, for small things are of which the larger tapestry is woven. I dedicate my efforts to making my life not be mundane, unremarkable. I have found that there is so much to gain out of the sheer act of living. I like to be ahead of the curve. I appreciate nature, specially its more violent aspects. vulgar displays of power appear to turn me on. Not specifically in a sexual manner. Speaking of that, I have spent the last decade or so exploring the side of me that loves BDSM and all that it deals with. I have accepted it as part of my identity, and seek to know more about it every day. I love music. I love writing. I love photography. I love Apple. The computing firm. In that order. I love academia, and I intend to pursue a life dedicated to it.. I love old films. I love offbeat/foreign films. I love ambient music. like Underworld. or Air. or Sigur Ros. or Godspeed You! Black Emperor. or Explosions In The Sky. You get the idea by now, I'm sure. I love my Sennheiser HD650 headphones. I love my Macbook. I'm now a graduate and I work at a fantastic place with some excellent people. I dislike a lot of things, but I also adore many things about life and existence. Which you might find out sometime. I love intellect, and intellectual pursuits and/or topics. Anyone capable of carrying on a stimulating conversation which may diverge into a variety of subjects will immediately hold my attention.
