Considering my field of study, I tend to lean toward some of the nerdier things. Video Games play a large part of my life right now, but for more than a form of entertainment. For other get away from reality forms of entertainment I turn movies, anime, music and sometimes reading. I say sometimes because I tend to be picky about what I read.

Last thing I read was Shogun by James Clavell and I enjoyed the Lord of the Rings Trilogy as well the Harry Potter series, the Ender's Game and shadow series. I tend to have trouble focusing on anything that doesn't catch my interest withing the first few chapters, which includes almost all non-fiction thus far.

My interests in movies and books are pretty similar. I gravitate towards the action/scifi/fantasy/dramas. However, I have been known to be willing to go to just about any movie if I'm going with someone, which is contrary to how I handle books. I even go to movies alone if I'm interested and no one else is.

As far as music goes, if I had to name one genre I would say my main preference is in classic rock. However I think I have a fairly broad interest. A playlist of mine might contain anything from Led Zeppelin to Amuro Namie to Lamb of God to Beethoven. The only types of music I identify as not liking is most country and rap.
