A Dream of Dreamsby Archana VyragyamIn the whimsical state of sedation, After taking the drousy poison of life, I lie on my bed staring at the lights on my ceiling, Pondering what my mother had hinted me on. My forecast foretells this time in my life, Something unbelievable would happen to me, Small or great that experience would be, I would never be able to forget it for life. With this in my mind I fell asleep, My subconscious mind still pondering on it, And as if my heart had answered to it, I had this dream, a dream of dreams. I travelled to a place that I’ve never been before, A lonely beach on a starry night with bright moonlight, The silky sand on my feet and the low tidal waves, Gave me the feel of warmth of him around me. I stretched my arms above my head, To take in all this beauty into me, Just then I felt around my waist, From behind, his warm cuddly arms wrapping me. A sudden chill ran down my spine, My heart was racing twice its speed, My lips quivered upon his tender touch, My hands followed his and held them tight. I felt his face lie on my shoulder, And his lips touch gently on my neck, My heart couldn’t take all this at once, And I broke loose to move away. But he caught my hand in time, And jerked to pull me back to him, Losing our balance we fell on the sand, The rest of which just blurred into the dream. Of all the dreams that I have ever had, This one has been the most wonderful one, This is why I made up my mind, To cherish its memory in this way.
