It's always difficult to write about myself. I find it rather arrogant and snobbish. However, I can say with a fair level of confidence that I am more or less confident, more or less not so confident, more or less normal and more or less not so normal.

Maybe that means I'm eccentric. I really don't know. I've always had difficulty with labelizing, categorizing, stereotyping, stigmatizing and all that stuff. I have my opinions which are not based upon a few sound bits I hear on the news. Indeed, it takes work and effort to seek the truth. After I've done that work I take all information before me and form an opinion. So, please no cliches, no parroting what pundits say especially if you do not understand the underlying history and politics surrounding any given situation. By now I assume you have come to the conclusion that I enjoy discussing politics. Notice I use the word discuss. While I suppose I enjoy a good debate every once in a while, be forwarned...I will win and I expect my opponent to rely on reason and logic when debating and not emotions or opinions which has no basis in fact. In other words, know your shit well before talking it.

One of the more difficult things for me is to stay in contact with people I have known. And it's always hard to try to jump-start friendly relationships from the past.

I usually do not engage in small talk because quite frankly it exhausts me. I am not interested in what type of work a person does because too much of our identity is predicated on what we do as opposed to who we are, what we represent not only to ourselves and loved ones; but also as citizens of the world which I consider myself to be.

As Virginia Woof said, "I have no country, the world is my country."

So there you have it. A brief description of me.

And just one more thing: I could care less taking long walks on the beach. I prefer friends who will go to the laundromat with me since I do far more laundry than walk on beaches.
