I'm from a fun little city on the east coast called Boston. I'm a published author with a new book coming out in 08 titled The Sounds from Boston, which is a tribute to the Boston music scene. I have another book in the works as well, which will come out at a later time....when the timing is right. I am a professionally trained chef as well, although I am not currently active in the field these days as I am focusing more on my writing as well as traveling. I earned my Associate in Science in Culinary Arts as well as my Associate in Science in Hotel/Restaurant/Travel Management in the mid 90's. During my college years, as well as after, I was employed at several food service establishments over a span of 12 years. I had the pleasure of working in 4 star upscale restaurants and hotels in Boston...as well as some not-so-great restaurants. My final stop in the culinary field was as a head chef at a men's prison, which believe it or not, was a pretty cool job position. (No, I wasn't a resident). At that point, I felt it was time to hang up my "chefs" hat for a while and concentrate on new ventures. I also run and own my own publishing company in which I will release my work under. I'm also working with 2 new authors in writing and publishing their first books. I am the founder and creator of Ocean View Press, a website devoted to supporting the independent arts. I am currently learning some new languages...I learned a little Chinese Mandarin. Last June I started a course in Icelandic. It's impossible to speak fluently if you weren't born there, but I'm taking it one step at a time. I workout and play bass guitar....both are great stress relievers. I love to travel to new and exciting places. I like to have a good time with life and experience all that it has to offer.
